Ministry to the Sick

We, of Divine Mercy Parish are a ministry of men and women who volunteer their time and talent to prayerfully visit and bring Communion to all of those unable to attend mass. This service includes to Home Visits, Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Facilities and also Hospitals. As Jesus says,....As I have washed your feet, now go forth and wash each others feet, in memory of Me. If interested please contact Lynne Pritts at lynne@divinemercychurch.org or ext.120.

Prayer Chain

The prayer chain is a great service to others.  Prayers requests often include; deceased loved ones, those who are ill or suffer from chronic pain, and personal special intentions.  The prayer chain leader calls three members, they in turn call their contacts, and so on. The prayer chain members enjoy helping others in times of sadness, but they also enjoy hearing about any improvements. Contact: Julie Dunn 321-432-8548.

Anne’s Angels

The Knitting and Crochet Ministry meets every non-holiday Monday in the St. John Neuman room of the Ministry Building. The ministry’s objective is to knit/crochet prayer shawls for the people of the Parish who are ill and homebound or in nursing, rehab or assisted living facilities. Any parishioner is eligible to receive a prayer shawl. Every child baptized at Divine Mercy will also receive a knitted or crocheted blanket as a gift from the parish family as a welcome to Divine Mercy. The ministry also provides lap robes, afghans and rosaries as requested.

All items made by Anne’s Angels have been blessed by a Priest from Divine Mercy Catholic Church. All people with basic knitting and/or crochet skills are welcome to join this very creative group of parishioners. Just call the parish office and give contact information and someone from the ministry will contact you. Donations of clean, unused and complete skeins of cotton or acrylic yarn are also welcomed.
